Job Title:                    92175,   Gulf Coast Field Service General Manager

Reports To:                President of Division


Full management and P&L responsibility for the gulf coast field service operation .   Includes sales efforts to local customers and prospects, oversight of estimating, managing expediting, and managing field service crews.  Also includes managing customers, change orders and all paperwork administration.    


  • Meet with customers and prospective customers. Participate in bid meetings and walks.
  • Oversee estimating, either creating estimates or reviewing and approving them.
  • Review and edit customer contracts for business points, liaise with corporate counsel on contract legal issues; negotiate final contract terms with customer
  • Conduct post bid reviews where not successful to learn where we failed and how to improve.
  • Update CRM software as appropriate per corporate guidelines.
  • Schedule and plan awarded work including coordinating staffing with internal and temporary staff as needed.
  • Work with procurement/expediting to source needed materials and equipment. Potentially self perform some of     the critical expediting.
  • Interface with customer throughout projects, managing scope and change orders.
  • Manage project supervisor to maximize profits.
  • Establish and maintain safety culture. Responsible for safety performance of the crews.
  • Entertain customers and prospects as needed.
  • Coordinate accounting and record keeping with Division office and Corporate headquarters.
  • Oversee and safeguard gulf coast facility and equipment. Interface with landlord.
  • Work closely with peer Corporate Business Development staff to triangulate on opportunities
  • Assist in education and training of field supervisors under management. Prepare and deliver annual evaluations.
  • Work with Diviaion office on product and customer development opportunities for manufactured products.
  • Foster a team environment and work well with Division office and Corporate departments to enhance corporate       teamwork

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage field service supervisors and all gulf coast support staff.


Education and Qualifications 

  • A minimum of 5 years of FRP management experience
  • Strong market knowledge of the FRP industry
  • Skillful in the following areas: Closing potential project opportunities, negotiating change orders with customers, Problem solving;
