Develop NEW industrial market customers and applications through customer visits and relationship development, Identify specific customer needs and develop value proposition within our capabilities to provide solutions and business cases to show justification, Promote fiber and downstream value added product forms.  Must have a general understanding of composites.  Must have a Business Development mindset (Not  “Here is what we have and what it costs.”).  Must be creative and be able to identify the value proposition of an application and develop the business case to communicate it s b enefit.  Deep market knowledge and contacts a plus, but not necessary.  Industrial markets include automotive, oil & gas, civil engineering, and other new confidential target markets.  Must be a relationship builder.  10 – 20 years of experience. Education BS Engineering & MBA.  Strong relationship building skills.  Ability to breakdown walls and develop relationships at all key levels in a customer organization  (product development, purchasing, quality, production, marketing, executive staff.) Must be driven and have a positive winning attitude.  Must be patient and persistent to work with our global counterparts and support structure.  Possible opportunity to take on global leadership role for targeted market segments as they present themselves or to take a leadership role for the new business if it develops into something significant and is spun off into its own business unit.  Product has unique properties that give design engineers new ways to solve challenges.  CF market demand expected to grow triple between 2013 and 2020.  Company is currently one of the largest manufacturers of the product in the world.  Opportunity to develop new applications/opportunities and to follow the business into a large stand-along business unit.  Will work in very diverse Industrial markets, (Wind, Off Shore Oil, Automotive, Smaller infrastructure, and NEW CONCEPTS).  Company serves all markets to various degrees.  New products could be anything from a fiber to a new prepreg to a different coating/sizing, maybe even a pultruded product where pultrusions are attached together but yield overall less cost.  Have Technical backup people with extensive composites experience.  Major international company.    Reasonable travel such as 2 nights per week.  Occasional visits overseas.  Strong technical backup.  You will report to the VP Sales, who has a strong background in one of the target markets, is a family man and has a  BS ME and MBA himself.  Big company benefits with 401K match, medical, dental.
